I love to play around with color. Whether it’s my purple hair or a bright outfit, I’m definitely not an all black wardrobe kinda girl. People often ask me how I know which colors will look good together. Here are a few tips to help you visually balance colors like a pro:

An easy way to figure out which colors will look good together is to use a color wheel. A color wheel is just a circle with different colored sections that show the relationship between colors. A quick peek at a color wheel when you’re choosing your outfits can help you pull together great look.

• Choose any three colors that are side by side on the wheel for a fun play on the monochrome trend
• Complementary (or contrasting) colors are any two colors that are directly opposite each other on the wheel. In this case, opposites balance each other out
• If you’re not ready to dive all the way in, add just a pop of color to neutrals. Like cobalt blue with gray or fuchsia with olive green
