If I could, I would marry Barbara. But I can’t. Barbara is one of the best cooks that I know. Barbara has a deep passion for using food to bring joy and she is great at it. I wanted to showcase her talents here. She is definitely a “chef to watch”, especially when it comes to showing the rich cuisine of Ghana.

What do you do and why is it important?
I am a chef and creator of recipes. What I do is important because it unites people from different parts of the worlds; I help grow. They learn about cultures and lifestyles through food.
What advice would you give to your 20 year-old self?
I would advice my 20 year-old self to have confidence, chase my dreams, surround yourself with people who are supportive and encouraging. Always believe in who you are and what you can do.
What are three things that you know for sure?
I know for sure that there is nothing in this world I would rather do than be a chef.I am going to be a restaurant owner someday.I will have an African cooking show on the Food Network.
What is the best advice (financial, emotional, spiritual, health-related) that you have ever received? Why did that piece of wisdom resonate with you so much?
The best advice I got was from my parents; they told me that no matter what you pursue in life, you have to make sure that you do it well with all your strength, passion and dedication. This advice gave me the platform to become a perfectionist and to give one hundred percent or nothing at all.
What rituals, if any, do you do on a daily, monthly, or yearly to keep you focused, positive, or centered?
I reward myself with a gift every month and I meet with friends to have a potluck.
How do you handle setbacks? What skills, support, or personality trait do you rely on the most to help you overcome adversity?
I talk to business owners and other professionals who are in my line of work for direction and opinions and I always go back to reading my favorite book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
