Meet DreamGirl Mbali Z. Ndlovu, Founder of Khula TV

10What do you do and why is it important?

I founded a digital media platform called Khula TV in order to help millennials develop the tools, network and confidence they need to create successful businesses. This platform is important because it brings together a rapidly expanding community of entrepreneurs and change-makers.

What advice would you give to your 20 year-old self?

I would tell her to take more leaps – to do more of the things that scare her.

What are three things that you know for sure?

I know that we are our own biggest critics and/or advocates; That I have the best friends and family in the world; That I’m always learning new things about myself.

What is the best advice (financial, emotional, spiritual, health-related) that you have ever received? Why did that piece of wisdom resonate with you so much?

“Pay yourself first” is great advice because I’ve been able to apply it to all aspects of my life – from creating automatic savings accounts, to incorporating exercise into my daily routine, to signing up for online courses to increase my skills and expertise. Needless to say most areas of my life have improved since taking heed to these wise words.

What is going on in your business/career that EVERYONE should know about now? Is there a product or services that we should ALL know about?

Everyone should check out the video interviews I’ve produced of several inspiring entrepreneurs over at www.khulatv.com for some fantastic business advice and motivation.

Where do you see yourself and your business in the next five years?

I see Khula TV being a fully fledged out media platform with a lot more inspiring and valuable content.

What makes you a DreamGirl?

I’m a DreamGirl because I constantly try to make myself uncomfortable. I grew up extremely shy but have been gradually cracking that shell over the years.

How do you handle setbacks? What skills, support, or personality trait do you rely on the most to help you overcome adversity?

To handle setbacks, I remind myself that tomorrow is a new day – a fresh start, and that the bigger picture shouldn’t be disrupted by minor obstacles. I also rely on my immediate family and friends to keep me sane.
