Transitioning to Fall Isn’t Just for your Wardrobe

Here in the Northeast of the U.S. fall fully here! The air is crisp and the leaves are changing into beautiful colors. Though this happens every year it is still a process of transitioning into a new phase. Whether you’re transitioning in a new school year, work assignment, or life phase transitions can be challenging for all of us. Here are a few things to keep in mind to make the process easier:

  1. Give yousummer fallrself extra time in between activities. Whether it’s taking the kids to school or going to the office leave yourself extra time for unexpected circumstances.
  2. Revisit your exercise routine. Does it need to be altered or refreshed for the new season? The weather is cooler and the days are shorter. Consider what changes, if any, you need to make to keep up your exercise routine.
  3. Have compassion for yourself and others. Change isn’t always easy. Even the change of seasons can have a significant effect on our moods and interactions. Be a bit kinder and gentler with yourself and others in the coming weeks.
